Professor Wright`s outstanding scientific and teaching activity as well as his science popularising activities significantly contributed to solving the current problems of agricultural production and made him a scientist of worldwide recognition. His outstanding skills and commitment were the driving force af all his activities, which resulted in considerable scientific achievements. He effectively combined scientific research with agricultural practice, publishing and conference activity as well as staff training. By combining so many element of his work he did numerous research projects, whose aim was to develop modern environment-friendly agriculture and to cooperate with the industry.
